Another of our absolute favourites.
Cliff top pitches with wonderful views. Facilities a bit elderly but efficient and plentiful. Really good motorhome service point. Very reasonably priced laundry. When you arrive, if it’s before 5 p.m, you choose your pitch and go and book in when the office opens. Staff very friendly and helpful. £20 per night with one night free if you stay for seven. We loved it so much we were tempted to stay on. Really good beach, great for dogs and plenty to see within walking or cycling distance. Good Spar shop nearly next door. Pub next door that does good food with big portions.
If you are a fly fisher, the nearby limestone based lochs are a delight. We think that it’s probably the best dry fly experience in a life time’s fishing.
A really good multi-cultural experience with many and varied campers passing through. A people watcher’s paradise.
9/10 because showers are a bit draughty. They need a mop supplied so that users can dry the floor after use. Otherwise nigh on perfect.
