Dingwall Camping & Caravan Club Site: Review

This site surprised us. We liked it a lot more than we expected and we were very sad to leave.

The site has a lot going for it – it is within walking distance of the town of Dingwall that has both independent shops and a couple of good sized supermarkets. You can walk to the railway station and get the train to Kyle of Lochalsh, which is a great day trip, going through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Highlands. It takes 30 minutes by train into Inverness for a day’s shopping. All in all an ideal spot for motorhomers. If you’re into football you might appreciate the fact that it is literally next door to Ross County ground.

Facilities are very good and the wardens were helpful and pleasant. Pitches very level and a good size. Really good motorhome service point. Right outside the gate is a lovely walk along the river bank so the dogs gave it a massive thumbs up.

Only two small negatives. We were on the far left of the site and it was a long way to a tap and the dishwashing area was very small.

9/10 – we’ll definitely be back. The addition of another tap and waste point on the left side of the site would make it perfect.
